Matar Gobi Masala is one of the most popular Indian dishes that almost every family makes during the winter season. It is a delicious combination of indigenous spices and cauliflower and peas, which can be garnished with a little lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves. Matar Gobi Masala Ingredients

1 cauliflower

1 cup peas

1 tomato

10-12 cashews (optional)

2 green chilies

1 ginger

2 tbsp green coriander

½ tsp cumin

2 pinch asafoetida

¼ tsp garam masala

¼ tsp turmeric

1 tsp coriander powder

¼ tsp red chili powder

2 tbsp oil

1 tbsp kasoori methi

salt to taste)

a handful cumin

Matar Gobi Masala Recipe

To make this recipe, first cut the cabbage into small pieces. After this, wash the chopped cabbage with fresh water. After it is done, wash the tomatoes and chillies and cut them into big pieces. Now peel the ginger and put all the ingredients in a mixer jar. You can also add cashew nuts in the mixer. Grind the mixture well until it turns into a smooth paste.

Turn on the gas and heat the pan for a few seconds. Put 2 tbsp oil in the pan and keep it on medium flame. Put cumin, coriander powder, turmeric powder and prepared paste in it. Then stir this mixture well until the oil starts floating on top.

After this, put cauliflower and peas in the mixture, as well as add half a cup of water, red chili powder and salt. Cover the lid and let it cook for about 6-7 minutes. Keep in mind that the pieces of cauliflower should be soft. If not, add 1-2 tbsp of water to the mixture and mix well. Let it cook for a few more minutes. Finally add garam masala and green coriander to this mixture and mix well. Voila! Matar Gobi Masala is ready to serve.
