London stabbing victim named Yasmin Chakafi

London: The name of a woman who was stabbed to death on the streets of London has been named by the police as Yasmin Chakafi.

The mother-in-law died along with her former partner, 41-year-old Leon McCarrey, after being hit by a car.

Police said McCarrey stabbed to death Chuckafee and was then hit by a car, killing him.

There are reports that the car rammed into McCarrey in an attempt to stop the attack on Chakafi.

Police confirmed that they were both from London’s Maida Vale and were previously in a relationship.

A 26-year-old man arrested at the scene was arrested by the police on suspicion of murder but is said to be cooperating with the authorities and has been released on bail.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Rawlinson, the force’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “We are getting a clear idea of ​​what happened at the scene by reviewing the information provided by the public and the CCTV.

“First of all, it is clear that the members of the public valiantly tried to intervene to stop the attack and that their actions were very courageous.

“We are talking to the families of those concerned and doing everything possible to support them in this terrible time.

“Now we can confirm that both the deceased knew each other beforehand and there is no suspected suspect.

“A person, who was the driver of a car, has been arrested and granted bail for a very serious offense and we must do a thorough investigation considering all the circumstances.”
