Lebanese authorities launch investigation to find missing Saudi citizen in Bekas

Beirut: Lebanese authorities have launched an investigation to trace a Saudi national who went missing after being lured to buy property in the country’s eastern region of Beqa, officials have said.

But the measures being taken to trace Hussein al-Shammari are being kept secret.

Reports circulating on social media on Monday morning claimed that unidentified persons had lured al-Shammari to sell real estate in one of the hills of Baalbek. They later kidnapped her and demanded a ransom in return for her release.
