Alleged gangster Lawrence Bishnoi moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday after withdrawing his earlier petition filed before the Delhi High Court.
Bishnoi was nabbing a fake encounter by the Punjab Police.
Suspecting his involvement in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala, Bishnoi on Wednesday withdrew his plea from the Delhi High Court seeking necessary security measures as he feared a “fake encounter” by the Punjab Police.
Initially, his counsel submitted before Justice Swaran Kanta Sharma that he wanted to withdraw the petition and file it before the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The court said, ‘The petition is dismissed and withdrawn.
The petition in the Delhi High Court had sought directions to the Tihar Jail authorities and the Delhi Police to ensure that necessary security measures, including videography, are taken for his safety before giving his custody to any other state police, including Punjab Police. . with PTI
