Schools in Lahore to remain closed thrice a week due to increased smog
A day earlier, the Punjab government decided to shut down private and government schools in Lahore thrice a week as the smog in the provincial capital worsened.
In a notification, Punjab Relief Commissioner Babar Hayat Tarar had said that the ban would be in force from November 27 to January 15. The commissioner said private offices in the provincial capital would also remain closed for three days a week.
The notification said that schools and offices will remain closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
