Korean man murdered in Karachi apartment

Rescue services and hospital officials said a Korean man was killed in Karachi’s Mahmudabad neighborhood on Sunday.

According to an Edhi Foundation spokesperson, the body of the man, who was in his early 70s, was found in an apartment in Sector-7 of Kashmir Colony in Mahmudabad. It was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center to complete the legal formalities.

JPMC’s Additional Police Surgeon Dr Sumaiya Syed said he was stabbed to death due to a deep wound on his neck with a knife.

The victim was originally from the Republic of Korea. Papers found in his pocket identified him as Chang Devon.

The motive for the murder was not immediately known.
