Kevin Durant trade rumours: Celtics reportedly emerged as potential destination for Nets star

Kevin Durant The Brooklyn Nets are still with the Brooklyn Nets nearly a month after he reportedly requested a trade following the team’s early exit from the NBA playoffs.

While there has been little or no buzz over potential deals for Durant, it appears that a new team has entered the competition to acquire an NBA superstar.

Boston Celtics According to multiple reports, the Nets became one of a handful of teams to be involved in trade talks for Star. While the Celtics are no closer than any other team in acquiring Durant, ESPN reports that the ability to engage Jaylen Brown in a trade in Boston makes the team stronger in their pursuit.

Brown responded to the trade rumors with a tweet.

“Shmh,” he wrote.

According to The Athletic, the Celtics offered a draft pick for Brown, Derrick White and Durant, but Brooklyn turned it down. The Nets have reportedly asked for Brown, Marcus Smart, draft picks and another rotational piece in any deal related to Durant.

Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns and The Toronto Raptors have expressed Interest in trading for Durant since he requested the trade on June 30, according to ESPN.

Durant signed with Kyrie Irving to Brooklyn in 2019. Brooklyn gave Durant enough time to rest and recover from a torn Achilles tendon. He did not make his debut for the team until December 2020. Durant signed a four-year, $194 million extension in August 2021.

Durant has played only 90 games for the Nets, averaging 28.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists. Brooklyn won only one playoff series with Durant and Irving on the team, and They needed James Harden to do that During the 2020-21 season.
