in the country of origin 1.1 million metric tons of plastic waste every year, the Accra-based company has turned more than 40 million plastic pouches (small bags filled with drinking water) into products such as laptop covers, pencil cases and grocery bags since 2007.

“We are creating jobs, and saving our environment too,” said Trashy Bags Country Manager Bright Binney. “If it’s good for the planet, it’s good for business.”
