GURUGRAM: The city recorded 222 new COVID cases on Saturday, a decrease from the previous day when 260 cases were reported. The test positivity rate has also fallen to 5.9% from Friday’s 6.4%.
Gurugram There are now 1,121 active cases, out of which 38 patients are hospitalised. A total of 3,708 people have been tested in the last 24 hours. “For the last three days less than 300 cases have been reported every day. If the trend of decline continues for a week, it will mean that there will be a further drop in cases,” Chief Medical Officer Virendra Yadav said.
Gurugram has added 9,916 cases so far in August. According to the health department, the city recorded 5,438 cases in July and 8,046 in June.
The city also recorded the recovery of 248 people on Saturday, taking the number of recoveries to 2.96 lakh. Gurugram also vaccinated 3,876 people on Saturday, out of which 3,159 people got a booster dose. Apart from this, the health department will not conduct any vaccination campaign on Sunday.
