Formal orders for the appointment of private secretaries and other employees for the newly appointed cabinet ministers and ministers of state in the Bhupendra Patel government were issued on Wednesday.
After the former chief minister and his team stepped down last month, the staff living in the ministers’ chambers in the Vijay Rupani government had moved out of the Swarnim Sankul.
The staff appointed on Wednesday include private secretaries, additional secretaries and assistant secretaries to the new government’s 24 ministers. The officers will receive the same pay and allowances as they received in their parent departments or offices.
