Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) declared the results of 10+2 classes today. Addressing a press conference here today, Education Board Chairman SK Soni said that the overall pass percentage stood at 93.91 percent. A total of 88,003 students appeared in the examination, out of which 82,342 passed.

He said that the top ten positions in science, arts and commerce are dominated by girls. The top ten positions in Arts, Science and Commerce streams were secured by 92 students, including 76 girls and 16 boys. He said that overall the government schools have performed better than the private schools.

The Speaker said that 53 students were in the top ten in the Science stream, including 39 girls and 14 boys. There were 20 students in the top ten in the arts stream, including 19 students from government schools.

In the commerce stream, there were 19 students in the top ten, including 2 boys and 17 girls. The Speaker said that 12 toppers in commerce stream were from government schools and 7 from private schools.

In Science stream, Kshitij Sharma from New Gurukul Public School, Gopalnagar, Hamirpur district, Shaun Rana from Ishan Public Senior Secondary School, Kangra district and Akshita Sharma from Government Senior Secondary School, Berthen, Bilaspur district jointly scored 98.6 percentile. In commerce stream, Tanisha Bharadwaj of Government Senior Secondary School, Thathal, Una district topped with 98 percent marks, while Mallya Bhatia of Government Senior Secondary School, Dehra, Kangra district topped with 97.4 percent marks and Shagun Singh of BL second. secured the position.
