Meet Shreya Tyagi, the 31-year-old from Chandigarh who has made it to the Vogue Business 100 Innovators. She is right now in Paris as the Emerging Technologies Manager at Christian Dior Couture. Before her role at Dior, she dived into the world of product and client insights at LVMH. Armed with a Master’s in Management from ESSEC Business School, Paris, her journey has been both thrilling and transformative. Here, she describes it in her own words.
I, Me, Myself
I was born and raised in Chandigarh. Currently, I hold the role of Emerging Technologies Manager at Christian Dior Couture. Prior to joining Dior, I worked on product and client insights at LVMH, where I had the opportunity to work with brands like Berluti and Fendi. My passion lies in exploring the ever-evolving intersection of fashion and culture.
I hold a Master’s in Management from ESSEC Business School, Paris, and my journey to Paris began in 2016 after completing my Bachelor’s in Computer Science and working as an analyst at KPMG.
How Chandigarh shaped me
I feel incredibly fortunate to have grown up in Chandigarh. I did my schooling from Carmel, and then B.Tech from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology. This city, with its rich heritage, its beautiful architecture, has played a fundamental role in shaping the person I am today. Do you know the Open Hand monument means peace. You can’t hold a weapon in an open hand.
My Journey
My journey has been a real rollercoaster ride. From relocating to a different country to working with my dream brands, it’s been surreal. It hasn’t always been easy, but I find beauty in every step of the way.
My Accomplishments
Most Read
Over the years, I’ve achieved several milestones. I led the Dior Data Accelerator for four years—an in-house incubator initiated by LVMH. Our goal was to harness AI to provide unified, personalized client experiences and enhance business performance through affinity-based product recommendations and tailored messaging across all client touchpoints, spanning various markets.
Additionally, I take pride in my contributions to the development of B33 sneakers at Dior, as well as my work curating Snapchat filters for experimental use on sneakers.
Challenges that came my way
My journey has not been without its share of challenges. Firstly, I grappled with the language barrier in France.
