This week’s episode comes to you from the second meeting of the European Political Community in the Moldovan capital of Chisinau.
With more than 40 heads of state and government invited to attend, host Suzanne Lynch discusses what is at stake for the European continent, with senior France correspondent Clea Callcutt. We take an in-depth look at the prospects of countries such as Moldova and Ukraine joining the EU, as well as other issues that have emerged in recent days, including the conflict in northern Kosovo. On that issue, we hear exclusively from Prime Minister Albin Kurti of Kosovo, who spoke with POLITICO Chief Europe Correspondent Matthew Karnitzschig and Senior Reporter Lily Bayer on the sidelines of the GLOBSEC conference in Bratislava.
Suzanne also spoke with Moldovan Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu as well as Iulian Groza, head of a Moldovan think tank called the Institute for European Policies and Reforms. We hear from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as well as other EU leaders attending the EPC meeting.
