Fresh report of baby’s death after eating formula mentions Cronobacter bacteria

Latest report informs federal health regulators that a child died after eating Abbott Laboratories‘ Baby formula mentions Cronobacter bacteria, Food and Drug Administration Told.

Cronobacter is the same bacterium that previously sickened at least four other infants between September 2021 and February, two of whom died After Eating Abbott Formula, The bacteria occur naturally in the environment and can live in dry, powdered foods. It can be fatal in infants, causing sepsis or meningitis.
