Eli Tarwin, 21, a student from alabama, had struggled his whole life to lose weight; When she tried to stick to a wide variety of ‘trending’ diets, including keto, she always found herself giving up after getting frustrated with the harsh restrictions she had to stick to.
Growing up, her classmates commented on her weight and soon she started making fun of her own body, as well as calling herself ‘fat’ so that no one else would say anything.
She started experiencing fatigue, lack of confidence and hated the way she looked, to the point where she started feeling embarrassed about her body, and weighed 217lbs.
She decided to completely change her lifestyle – changing her diet and adopting a healthy workout regime.
Now, a year later, she has lost 89lbs, weighing 128lbs and the change has had an incredible impact on her life.

‘Every aspect of my body feels confident and strong, along with being healthy.
‘Over the years, I’ve had diets where I’d restrict myself and that caused me to give up fast.
‘I would lose a few pounds here and there, but eventually gained it back, plus some more.
,[These methods] Made me feel very sick and changed my taste buds, as well as my sense of smell and period cycles.
‘I also tried intermittent fasting, which caused me to binge eat instead.
‘I’ve always been very insecure about my body image and I always felt like I was overweight, where I never felt happy in my body.
‘I was tired of feeling unwell all the time and my weight was affecting my mental health.
The student shared an update about her weight loss on TikTok, showing how her belly, left, was shrinking in size as she went, right
Allie cut out all processed and fast foods from her diet, and replaced them with lean, healthy menu items — as well as sticking to a rigorous workout regimen.
Allie revealed that she knew nothing about how to start her gym routine, but learned as she went and now goes everyday except on weekends.
‘After hitting the scales at about 224 lbs, I was so ashamed and told myself I was there and then I was going to work no matter how long or how hard it would be.’
Before that, she remembers eating fast food at McDonald’s for almost every meal with a combo of a big breakfast and a sweet tea for breakfast, fried chicken and fries or tacos for lunch, and dinner. For she eats most nights.
Allie used to snack on milkshakes, crisps and any fried leftovers the night before—indulging in anything her heart wanted.
Now, she eats eggs for breakfast, grilled chicken or turkey sandwiches for lunch, and steak with salad for dinner.
Allie said she didn’t believe she was taking care of her body before, quit, but is now proud of what she’s achieved
At the beginning of her weight loss journey, Allie would snack on milkshakes, chips, and any fried leftovers the night before.
Through hard work, Allie bridged the gap and was able to reduce her belly fat and tone her body, showing her progress online.
However, she doesn’t limit her craving and still allows some snacks, but has swapped processed food for nuts, peanut butter and apples.
Along with the change in her diet, she also started exercising and now she hits the gym six times a week.
She said: ‘Before my weight loss, exercise was minimal and I lay in bed most days, only going to the gym two days a week.
‘I would do most cardio without a plan, but soon I fell in love with the gym as well as fitness.
‘I started getting more active in and out of the gym, where during my peak weight loss, I followed a workout plan for five days a week.
Before starting this new weight loss journey, Allie said she tried ‘trendy’ diets like keto, but felt they were too restrictive and caused her to binge eat.
The schoolgirl worked it out at the gym and proudly shared her post-workout selfie online
The student works out with weights to maintain her fitness level, and does a different workout every day.
‘On Monday, I do a full body day, followed by biceps and triceps on Tuesday, with a focus on legs on Wednesday.
‘I focus on my back and chest on Thursday, take a full cardio day on Friday and then rest for the weekend.
‘As far as my social life is concerned, people have become more accepting. I have noticed a difference in the way people treat me – most people are more friendly or inviting.’
To inspire others, she decided to upload her transformation on TikTok – a video garnering 7.8 million views and 1.1 million likes.
