Millennials have resorted to paddling to keep them fit as they cannot exercise in the metaverse. Also, new-age cyclists aren’t limiting themselves to road bikes or hybrid city bikes alone. With the appetite for exploring virgin landscapes, the demand for mountain bikes has also seen a considerable increase. Thus, in order to find a capable and affordable hardtail mountain bike that uses an alloy-based frame, we got our hands on the Firefox Stravaro. Well, read on to know whether our hunt is over or not.
Firefox Starvaro review: Aesthetically attractive?
A mountain bike with a tight stance attracts a lot of attention, and the Starvaro does it very well. The frame uses a minimalist approach, but the angles make it look distinctive. Therefore, road presence is not a compromise. Also, the silver paint scheme along with the neon insert makes the cycle look a bit more alive.
Another arsenal of the Stravaro is its high-order fit-finish level. Welding throughout the frame is a neatly done affair. Therefore, Firefox StarVaro turned out to be quite a sight and attention-grabber. It should be noted that Firefox StarVaro comes in semi-assembled form from the factory. Screwing a few bits in is all it takes to get going.
Firefox Starvaro Review: Good at Work?
It wasn’t hard to get started with rocking a leg on Firefox Starvaroo. It surprised me with the accommodating nature of the seat and the overall ergonomics, as the thick-flat handlebar makes grip on the bicycle. With more distance, the Stravaro made me feel like 18 gears is enough to keep going in almost every situation. It uses a Microshift Marvo 2×9S derailleur. This includes a 2-speed front and 9-speed rear cassette.
The overall shift operation is smooth without any hindrances introduced by the mechanism. The Prowheel crankset on the Starvaro comes with wide pedals that provide immense grip levels to go bonkers even on washed-out tracks. Plus, the Starvaro’s 29-inch rims are a boon. They enhance the capabilities of Cycles as do MTBs.
Similarly, the spoke rims with double walls, which are made of alloy, have only helped the rims to take the beating offered while trail riding. Coming to a stop is a hassle-free affair with hydraulic disc brakes at both the ends on the Firefox Starvaro. However, the lever position could have been done keeping in mind the Indian riding conditions, or at least, they came with different levers to change their position.
Talking about the suspension, the Suntour fork has been given in its front-end with 100 mm of travel. Of course, it works flawlessly on the terrain that Firefox Starvaro is for. In gravel or city riding conditions, the fork comes with a lock-out function.
Firefox Starvaro Review: Should You Invest Your Money in It?
The price of firefox starvaro is Rs 45,000. However, the brand is currently offering it with a huge discount, bringing the price down to around Rs 35,000. At this price point, it makes a delicious offering with all the equipment needed to be a capable MTB and quality level to justify the asking price. However, a 7×3 derailleur could have been a better bet. As an overall package, Starvaro has enough to go the technical route and bring you back with a smile of victory.
