In the first film, Tyler Rake, Hemsworth’s turned-in mercenary from Australian Special Forces operative, is hired by another mercenary Nick Khan (Golshifteh Farahani) to rescue Ovi Mahajan Jr (Rudraksh Jaiswal), son of an imprisoned criminal Ovi Mahajan (Pankaj Tripathi). was recruited for. ,

Although Rake was shot in the neck, he has somehow come back. Maybe the movie is a prequel? We don’t know.

Randeep Hooda, Priyanshu Painyuli and David Harbour were also part of the first film’s cast.

The film received mixed critical reception. Indian Express Film critic Shubhra Gupta gave the film 2.5 stars and wrote, “The rest is the familiar dham-bum-bum-bum escape fantasy. Stands to argue because of all his Marvel connections. But then Extraction never became any other kind of film. And for what it is, right now, in these lockdown times, it does what it needs: where the good guy, even if he’s saving a white first-world slum to a third world, once A bullet comes out in the top.

Earlier, Joe Russo said that an entire universe based on the Extraction franchise could be in development.

He told Collider, “I still haven’t committed because I think it’s more exciting to surprise people, but I will say this: we’re working on creating a universe of movies that potentially already have some other characters.” Explore the film and some new characters, and see more historical interactions between the characters.”
