DU: No more waiting for printed degrees

DU students who have completed their course in 2021 will receive their printed convocation degree this year.

Students who had completed their degree between 2017 and 2020 were not able to get their printed degree from the university. After students of the 2020 batch approached the Delhi High Court over this, it was learned that the university’s contract with its printers had expired.

The move to provide printed degrees to students in the year of their convocation will come as a relief to students who usually have to wait for years for it. Delhi University officials said earlier this year that students would receive their degrees within 90 days of the convocation. The 98th convocation of the university was held on 26 February.

According to Dean of Examination DS Rawat, the university has 85,000 printed degrees. University authorities have made a roster from Thursday, in which college and department staff or officials can submit the degrees of their students who will complete their degrees in 2021.
