At least, that’s what we can gather from the first in-depth trailer for the Disney+ series “Moon Night,” which debuted Monday night.
The series, according to the streamer, tells the story of Steven Grant of Isaac, a man who “becomes haunted by blackouts and memories of another life.”
“Steven learns that he has antisocial identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Mark Spector. As Steven/Mark’s enemies converge on him, he is mired in a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt. You have to navigate your complex identities while trapped,” says one logline.
Ethan Hawke and May Calamavi also star.
Isaac serves as executive producer on the series.
The trailer has undeniable shades of a psychological thriller, especially for a darker hue than Disney+’s previous Marvel series. Whether the actual series trailer reflects that remains to be seen.
But Disney+ is probably betting that Marvel fans can’t fight Moon Knight.
