According to the head constable, he was returning home around 11 pm on Friday when a speeding Swift car drove too close to his vehicle. It later took a sudden turn and hit the front side of his car. He said he only stopped his car and issued a warning to the driver and his family.

“I tried to explain to them that they were driving rashly. I went back to my car and was heading home when they again started speeding. They overtook my car and blocked the way. Two men got out and shouted that they would teach me a lesson. Sensing the seriousness of the situation, I didn’t step out. They picked up bricks and threw them on the windshield and broke the windows of my car,” alleged the head constable.

In the meantime, one of the men held me while the other took an iron rod from his car and he hit me on the head. I was beaten up in full public view. I lost consciousness after some time,” said the policeman.
