Deepika Padukone talks about Piku, shares ‘beautiful’ working with Big B and Irrfan Khan – India Times Hindi News

Deepika Padukone has successfully completed more than 15 years in the entertainment industry. Recently during a media interaction, the 36-year-old actress spoke about the same and revealed that her lead role in Shoojit Sircar’s Piku holds a special place in her heart.

“There was something special about the energy in that film. I think my sister and I (Anisha) are at the age where we are in Piku. There is something in Piku that is very special. The Gehriyan actress further mentioned that the collaboration Amitabh Bachchan And Irrfan Khan was ‘beautiful’ also because there was no comparison between the co-stars. “I was aware of the fact that I would be opposite these two incredible people (actors Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan), but when you are not competing with your co-stars and you are really invested in telling one If so, it works very well. Good story and that’s what we’re meant to do. I don’t think Irrfan was trying to be one on Mr Bachchan or he was trying to be one on someone. It was a pretty collaborative process and we were invested in giving our best,” she said.

For the unmatched, Deepika played Piku Banerjee, an aspiring woman who takes care of her father, played by Amitabh Bachchan in the 2015 film. The film also featured late actor Irrfan Khan. The film made us laugh and was emotional as well.

On the work front, Deepika has some interesting projects in her kitty. She is currently busy working on the project with Prabhas. She has wrapped up her shooting schedule for Siddharth Anand’s Pathan opposite Shahrukh Khan and John Abraham. He also has a Hindi remake of Fighter with Hrithik Roshan and The Intern with Amitabh Bachchan.
