Dead whale removed from Yorkshire beach after becoming macabre tourist attraction

55 ft (17 m) fin carcass whale A popular tourist beach has been removed in an operation which the council said was the biggest of its kind ever.

30 ton animal got into trouble at sea bridlingtonEast Yorkshireearlier this week and passed away on Tuesday.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council said that contractors had managed to move it away from the beach in an “incredibly challenging and difficult operation”.

The mammal became a terrifying tourist attraction as people traveled for miles to see the carcass.
