Cramer’s week ahead: Fed decision on Wednesday could let the bulls ‘party on’

Cramer's week ahead: Wednesday's Federal Reserve decision could let bulls 'party'

CNBC’s Jim Cramer said Friday that Wall Street’s recent gains could continue into next week depending on the Federal Reserve’s actions.

“A decision not to raise rates at all may show too much weakness. A quarter point with a statement that they will remain cautious will allow the bulls to party,” he said.

The central bank is set to end its first meeting of the year on Wednesday with what Wall Street broadly expected to be a quarter-percentage point interest rate hike.

Cramer said he would also be keeping an eye on the January non-farm payrolls report to be released on Friday. “If wage inflation is very strong, the quarter-point move will be criticized. If it is weak, we will hear about that hard landing,” he said.
