According to Peterborough County OPPThe officials responded to the collision on the highway in Doro-Damar township around 2 pm.

OPP said Monday evening that the construction worker was taken to a hospital in the Toronto area.

The OPP closed the highway between Division Road and County Road 8 during the investigation.

The cause of the collision is being investigated.
