New Delhi, 24 November

Civil Aviation Secretary Rajiv Bansal said on Wednesday that international flight services are expected to return to normal by the end of this year.

Scheduled international passenger flights to and from India have been suspended since March last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. India has an air bubble arrangement with more than 25 countries to operate international flights.

On resumption of normal services to global destinations, Bansal said international flight services are expected to return to normal “very soon” and “by the end of this year”.

Under an air bubble arrangement between the two countries, international passenger flights may be operated in each other’s territories by their respective carriers, subject to certain conditions. PTI
