As the body was tested positive, the doctors decided not to conduct the postmortem of the body. The victim was a government employee in the Haryana Irrigation Department. Sources said that he was addicted to alcohol. Police said that when he did not respond, his wife called her neighbors and the local police. A PCR vehicle took him to GMSH-16 where doctors declared him brought dead. His body was tested for COVID-19 and the report came back positive.
A source said, “The doctors immediately after seeing the body in the emergency ward expressed apprehension of the victim’s COVID-19 positive status. Later, a test confirmed the apprehension. The postmortem was not done as per the rules. Will go
Police has started investigation of the case under Section 174 of CrPC.
