Canadian singer Bryan Adams said he tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday after flying into Italy and said he was on his way to hospital.
Adams, 62, who is also a photographer, took the test at Milan’s Malpensa airport, where he was arriving To promote Pirelli’s 2022 calendar – where they shoot Iggy Pop, Cher, Jennifer Hudson, Sauvity and St. Vincent among other musical talents – for their On the Road calendar.
Adams was expected to appear at in-person press events promoting the calendar on Sunday and Monday, but was now uncertain.
‘I am here, just arrived in Milano and I have tested positive for covid for the second time in a month. So this is me for the hospital,’ he said in a post on Instagram, showing a picture of himself wearing a mask while sitting behind a table.
He said, ‘Thank you all for your support.
Adams has been fully vaccinated, a representative for the Star told NME in November.

The singer posted a series of photos that showed her sitting at a desk and in the back of an ambulance as she revealed that this is the second time she has tested positive for COVID-19. Earlier this year, Adams wrote in an October post that he had COVID-19, but had no symptoms.
According to the CDC, people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 can test positive for up to three months after infection. Testing positive during that time does not necessarily mean that someone has become infected again.
