Bloody ‘animal eyes’ sent to Ukrainian embassies, Kyiv says

Kyiv’s foreign ministry said on Friday that packages containing “animal eyes” were sent to Ukrainian missions around Europe.

Five Ukrainian embassies and three consulates received “bloody” post packages containing animal eyes. Mail was delivered to embassies in Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Croatia and Italy; Consulates General in Naples, Italy and Krakow, Poland; and Consulate in Brno, Czech Republic.

“The packages themselves were saturated with a liquid of a characteristic color and had a similar odor. We are investigating the meaning of this message,” the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine said. a statement,

The entrance to the Ukrainian ambassador’s apartment in the Vatican was also ransacked, and the embassy in Kazakhstan received a false bomb report.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called the incidents “a well-planned campaign of terror and intimidation” of Ukrainian foreign missions.

“Unable to stop Ukraine on the diplomatic front, they are trying to intimidate us. However, I can say right away that these efforts are futile. We will continue to work effectively for the victory of Ukraine, Kuleba said.

Kuleba said security measures have been increased at all Ukrainian embassies and consulates. a letter bomb explosion Earlier this week at the Embassy of Ukraine in Madrid.
