Bhagwant Mann is AAP’s CM candidate for Punjab elections

Chandigarh, January 18

Bhagwant Mann is the chief ministerial face of Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab.

The party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal announced his name in Mohali on Tuesday.

Though the announcement of Mann’s name for the chief ministerial candidate was only a formality, as his name was cleared by top party officials last month, Kejriwal announced the decision on the basis of a telephonic survey commissioned by the party. So that voters can be allowed to choose their Chief Minister. Candidate.

Announcing the results, Kejriwal said that some people had voted for him though he had declared that he was not a candidate and these votes were declared invalid. “Wherever I went, people used to ask me about the CM face of the party. I would say that the party would choose a face that everyone would be proud of. We decided to hold an election so that people can choose their CM candidate. Amazingly 93 per cent voters voted in favor of Bhagwant Mann,” he said, declaring him the party’s CM face.

Mann thanked the people for choosing him and the party, saying he was drawn into politics because his political satire was with the common man and he wanted him to help them. “Punjab is plagued by many problems threatening the future of the state as well as the future of its people. Unemployment, drug addiction, unprofitable agriculture – these issues do not let me sleep at night. If we win , then we will ensure that we work only for the poor, downtrodden and deserving people, not the kin of the rich and powerful,” he said.

On this occasion, his sister Manpreet Kaur and mother Harpal Kaur also spoke and thanked the people of Punjab for choosing them.
