Athkakuup RCMP on the lookout for a 27-year-old man after he allegedly assaulted a woman. Globalnews.ca

The Ahthacacoupe RCMP is saying they received reports of an injured woman on Ordell Road, east of Mont Nebo, around 9:25 p.m. Thursday.

The officers responded and traced the woman, who was taken to the hospital in a critically injured condition.

As a result of the investigation, 27-year-old Shaden Stanley has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, causing bodily harm, carrying a concealed weapon, forcible imprisonment, making threats and failure to comply with the terms of the release order.

The Ahatahkakup RCMP has issued an arrest warrant and is actively trying to trace him.

Stanley is described as approximately 5’7″ tall and 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

He has several tattoos, including a cross on his left cheek, above his eyebrow and on his right cheek, and a large Playboy bunny on the left side of his neck.

Stanley has links to Onion Lake and surrounding areas, but his current whereabouts are not known.

The RCMP is asking the public not to contact them and to contact your local RCMP detachment in an emergency by calling 310-RCMP, your local police service, or 911.
