Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis mask up while at a grocery store with their kids in LA

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were snapped wearing face masks outdoors while running an errand in LA’s Studio City on Saturday.

The longtime actor and his wife, 44 and 38, were dressed casually for the outing with their two children Wyatt Isabelle, seven, and Dimitri, five.

The spouses both wore face masks, with Mila in white and Ashton in black, and they held each of their kids’ hands.

They did so even though LA currently has no mask mandates, despite recent moves by some health experts to reintroduce them.

Ashton and Mila are notably COVID-cautious. Last September they told People they were eagerly anticipating the approval of vaccinations for children.

The couple also explained that they took COVID measures seriously knowing that the virus can still be passed on even if vaccinated.

Ashton explained: ‘Even if you are vaccinated you still can get COVID and give it to your kid, and they can still get very sick and get the entire school shut down. Who wants to be that person? Nobody.’

Los Angeles recently contemplated re-instituting mask mandates, but local communities such as Beverly Hills have discussed not enforcing the mandate due to a downward trend in Covid cases.

Long Beach and Pasadena have also indicated they will abide by the state’s laws on mask mandates instead of following LA’s plan.

The only major county to reinforce mask mandates this year was Alameda County, but the mandate was dropped after three weeks due to low infection rates.

L.A. County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer said at a press briefing there has been a ‘fairly steady decline in cases since July 23,’ adding ‘the clock is stopped at the moment.’

Ferrer and city officials decided not to enforce the mandate due to case numbers dropping in recent weeks after Los Angeles entered the ‘high’ category of cases a fortnight ago.

The category is defined by the CDC as 10 Covid-related hospital admissions per 100,000 residents, and the number hovered at 11.7 as of last Thursday, allowing city officials to deem it low enough to not ask residents to wear masks.

‘You could see we’re on the cusp, between medium and high. It isn’t going to take much to move us back into that medium community level,’ said Ferrer.

LA could see mask mandates coming back to schools, and Kutcher and Kunis have two kids together, 5-year-old Dimitri Portwood and 7-year-old Wyatt Isabelle.

Kutcher, star of the new movie Vengeance, was dressed comfortably in a crewneck white t-shirt and a pair of faded jeans.

He added light grey sneakers to the look and wore a dark baseball cap with a yellow circle on the front.

Mila was clad in loose-fitting brown overalls as she held seven-year-old daughter Wyatt’s hand.

Meanwhile, Asthon stayed close to Dimitri, who’s five-years-old, holding the tot’s hand.

Mila – full name Milena Markovna – wore a sleeveless black shirt underneath her trendy jumper.

It was form-fitting and she accessorized with a long necklace that had a rectangular pendant in the center.

Her thick, rich brunette hair was a bit disheveled as she let it fall over her shoulders in a small part.

She wore a pair of white tennis shoes and carried an iced coffee with a blue straw in her hand.

The couple, who met when they were cast on That ’70s Show, reprised their roles as Jackie Burkhart and Michael Kelso for the upcoming spinoff, That ’90s Show.

That ’70s Show was on air from 1998–2006, with the two actors maintaining a friendship throughout that time.

Years later they became involved romantically, tying the knot in 2015 – two years after Kutcher split from ex-wife Demi Moore.

About their return to the characters, Ashton recently said in an interview with Variety, ‘Mila and I were contemplating it.

‘We thought, “Listen, we’re only in the position that we’re in because of that show, so let’s just go back and do this.” We just went back and had fun for a week. It was so random and fun.’

And speaking to Entertainment Tonight he added, ‘It was super nostalgic and really odd. Like, going back into the basement, just going back on to the set was like, weird. And then being around everyone, it’s… bizarre.’

The new series will feature guest appearance from Ashton and Mila’s costars Topher Grace, Laura Prepon and Wilmer Valderrama, though the main cast will be comprised of younger actors, led by Callie Haverda as Leia Forman, the daughter of Grace and Prepon’s characters.
