Jammu: One Army jawan I allegedly committed suicide by shooting myself with my service rifle Rajouri District of Jammu and Kashmir while a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPFThe jawan died of a suspected cardiac arrest at the Jammu Tawi railway station on Sunday.
Rajouri police said, Army The jawan, identified as Nayak DS Negi, a resident of Dehradun, shot himself and was found dead near his barracks palma Rajouri region. The jawan was on duty and hearing gunshots, his accomplices reached the spot and found him covered in blood.
Police said the bullet was fired from near his chin, “he was taken to the hospital but was declared brought dead.” Initial reports said that it seemed to be a case of suicide, but the body was sent to the mortuary for postmortem for more details.
Meanwhile, a CRPF jawan died of suspected cardiac arrest when he was about to board a New Delhi-bound train from Jammu Tawi railway station. “Identified as head constable Ram Kumar Kaushik, a resident of Delhi’s Samaypur, he was recently transferred to the national capital. Preliminary investigation revealed that he died of cardiac arrest but the exact cause of death was post-mortem. Will be clear later.”
