Hearn has said in recent weeks that the plan is for the 33-year-old Joshua to fight in August, with Whyte a likely opponent for the first bout, before potentially facing Deontay Wilder in December.
While Joshua seemed disappointed, saying on Instagram over the weekend that he was unaware of the conversation with Whyte, Hearn has now shed more light on the matter.
“Dillion was proposed over the weekend,” Hearn reported. BBC on Monday (June 5). “We’re waiting for their response on that, and we’ll talk today.”
