Another horrific incident of gang rape on the motorway

Gojra: In another horrific incident, an 18-year-old woman was lured by fake job offers and gang-raped on the M-4 motorway in Gojra, Geo News reported on Thursday.

According to the police, the suspects, on the pretext of getting her a job in a boutique in Gojra, raped the girl by luring her in a car on the motorway and then dumped her at the Faisalabad interchange and fled.

However, the suspects have been taken into custody by the law enforcement agencies.

In the FIR, the victim’s aunt said that her 18-year-old niece received a message on a mobile phone for a job interview in the city. He told that when they reached there, the accused took the girl with them in the car and raped her on the motorway.

Medical examination of the survivor has been done and DNA sample is being taken, police confirmed, adding that action has been initiated to arrest the other suspects.

A spokesman of Punjab Police said that the prime suspect is being questioned, while a search is on for his accomplices.

CM Buzdar sought report

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Inspector General Rao Sardar Ali have taken cognizance of the incident.

Both CM and IG have sought a report from Faisalabad RPO and ordered immediate arrest of the suspects and strict legal action against them.

The IG said that justice should be ensured to the victim on priority basis.
