Another ER death under investigation in New Brunswick, called a ‘tragic incident’.

Vitalite Health Network says one patient died emergency room Of Edmundston Regional Hospital On 24 July, after a “tragic incident”.

“The person admitted to the emergency department lost his life under unforeseen and extraordinary circumstances,” President and CEO Dr. France Desrosiers said in the release.

The health authority gave little detail about what happened on Sunday, but said no health care workers or workers were injured.

“The network also wants to acknowledge the exemplary work and professionalism of its employees in dealing with this unfortunate incident,” Desrosier said in its statement.

The health authority said that “due to the delicate nature of the incident, no further details will be provided to the public at this time.”

“Be rest assured that a comprehensive internal root cause assessment of the incident is underway,” she said. “The network also cooperates with police officers and coroners in their respective investigations.”

The news comes just two weeks after a patient died in the waiting room of the ER at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton.

On July 15, Premier Blaine Higgs, in reaction to that death, called Horizon Health Network CEO Dr. John Dornan and he wiped out both boards for health officials, saying change “starts at the top.”
