SPA – Dammam:
The field supervisory teams of the Ministry of Commerce in the Eastern Province made 5,062 inspection visits during the Eid al-Adha holiday, resulting in the issuance of 239 immediate commercial violations. The tourism included the markets of basic and essential supply commodities and the governorates and villages associated with them for products important to the consumer in the eastern region, in addition to shops and stores, to monitor and follow their prices on a daily basis. Selling of gold, jewelry and precious stones, and shops selling sweets, nuts and others.
The purpose of these inspection visits is to ensure compliance of establishments with consumer protection regulations, and to confirm the availability of goods and products and the stability of their prices. The Ministry of Commerce urged all consumers to report commercial violations through the application of a commercial report or through the communication center at number (1900).
