Air India to start daily flight service between Delhi and Vancouver – India Times Hindi News

Tata-owned Air India is working on improving its flight connectivity between India and Canada by increasing the frequency of flights between Delhi and Vancouver. The airline announced that they would now operate daily flight services between the two cities instead of thrice a week. It is to be noted that the new services will come into effect from August 31. This step has been taken by the airline to cater to the increasing number of passengers between the above mentioned cities.

The increased flight frequency will be provided by the airline’s owned Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. In addition, rising demand can be seen as a sign of improving customer demand from the pandemic. The news was shared by the airline’s official Twitter handle with the caption, “We are starting daily flights between Delhi and Vancouver from 31 Aug 2022. For booking visit our website, call center or booking office.”

Meanwhile, Air India is planning ways to reduce flight delays and increase on-time performance. As the “nerve center” of any airline, Air India’s recently appointed CMD Campbell Wilson has requested the airline’s Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC) for a direct report and timely suggestions to boost performance . Wilson said in a memorandum to staff members on 28 July that Air India’s on-time performance (OTP) is subpar and certainly not world class.

“IOCC is the nerve center of an airline. It not only manages our 24X7, 365 days of the year network of flights, but it is also instrumental in driving our OTP,” Wilson said in the release.
