it’s the last day of first nations assembly Annual gathering Vancouver and the issue of leadership is still not resolved.

The chiefs are expected to vote today on an emergency resolution that calls for the national chief Roseanne Archibald He was to be reinstated after the no-confidence motion under his leadership was withdrawn from the assembly yesterday.

Archibald was suspended by the executive committee last month while investigating four complaints against him by his staff.

However, Archibald says he was kicked out for trying to investigate corruption within the AFN and demanded a forensic audit of the organization.

Issues of the Pope’s visit, indigenous rights, housing and other priorities were expected to dominate the agenda.

Federal Cabinet Ministers Mark Miller, Patty Hajdu and David Lametti are due to speak to more than 2,400 delegates today.
