A Saudi delegation from several government agencies will participate in the activities of the Eleventh World Urban Forum (WUF11), organized by the United Nations Human Settlement Program “UN-Habitat” in Katowice District, Republic of Poland, during the period from 26 to 26. -30 June, under the slogan “Transforming Our Cities for a Better Urban Future”, the delegation of participating entities was led by the Mayor of the Eastern Region, Eng. Fahd bin Muhammad al-Jubeir, on his behalf. His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail.
The aim of the partnership is to highlight the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting international programs and initiatives related to the environment and sustainable urban cities. Saudi participation in the Forum also contributes to a review of the Kingdom’s efforts to raise the standard of living for residents by launching initiatives and programs that contribute to improving the urban landscape and humanizing cities and best practices and developments in developing cities. Residents by identifying global experiences.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is represented by a number of government agencies, each reviewing its most prominent programs and initiatives in urban affairs through a designated pavilion for Saudi officials at the exhibition with a forum.
