6 BLF terrorists killed in encounter with security forces in Balochistan: ISPR

The Public Affairs Wing of the Army said in a statement that security forces on Sunday gunned down six Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) terrorists during a search operation in Parroom area of ​​Panjgur district of Balochistan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the forces carried out an operation on a tip-off regarding the presence of terrorists in the Central Makran mountain range near Parroom.

“Once the troops launched an evacuation operation in the area, the terrorists tried to flee from their hideout and opened fire on the security forces,” the statement said.

It said that BLF terrorists were killed during the encounter.

The ISPR said the slain terrorists were involved in attacks on security forces posts as well as improvised explosive device attacks on security convoys in Parroom and surrounding areas of Panjgur.

The forces also recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition which, according to the ISPR, was to be used by the terrorists to disturb peace in the area.

“The security forces, in concert with the nation, are determined to thwart efforts to disrupt the peace, stability and progress of Balochistan,” the military statement said.

Security forces on 7 June killed Four terrorists during an operation in North Waziristan tribal district and Noshki district of Balochistan.

Two terrorists were killed in a gunfight with security forces in Hasankhel area of ​​Mirali tehsil in North Waziristan, while the other two were gunned down during an operation in the Padh area of ​​Noshki.
