New Delhi: Samsung has seen strong demand for its fourth generation foldables in India, registering over 50,000 pre-bookings for the Galaxy Fold 4 and Galaxy Flip 4 in less than 12 hours, said Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President & MX Head of Sales Samsung India said on Wednesday.
The record figures came on Day 1 of the pre-booking opening for the foldable on August 16.

He attributed the pre-book success to the company’s strategy to expand the foldable experience in India this time.
For the Fold4 and Flip4, Samsung has expanded its retail network, taking the premium phone to over 10,000 cities, including Tier 2 towns and so forth.
According to Pullan, this is more than double the number of retail outlets compared to last year for foldable phones.
Samsung has also employed over 12,000 demo units of Fold4 and Flip4 In India to ensure that consumers have a great experience with these devices before finalizing their purchase.
“Fold4 is the most powerful PC in your pocket with Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor and flagship 50MP camera. The Flip4 is the ultimate tool for young consumers who want to express themselves with their Flex cameras,” said Pullan.
Samsung led the broader smartphone market with a 22 percent value market share in the first six months of the year.
Available in Bora Purple, Graphite and Pink Gold colours, the Galaxy Z Flip4 is priced at Rs 89,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 94,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant.
Offering glass color and frame options, the ‘Bespoke Edition’ will be available for Rs 97,999 across Samsung Live and Samsung Exclusive stores, the company said in a statement.
Available in Green, Beige and Phantom Black colours, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is priced at Rs 154,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant and Rs 164,999 for the 12GB + 512GB variant.
Consumers can buy the 12GB+1TB variant for Rs 184,999 exclusively on Samsung Live and Samsung Exclusive stores.
