The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced that it has received expressions of interest from four national associations to organize the 2023 AFC Asian Cup Final.
The AFC had announced the opening of the door to all national federations by May 31, 2022 expressing their willingness to host.
Four member federations – Australia, Indonesia, South Korea and Qatar – have responded and expressed their interest in bidding to host the tournament, before the deadline was extended to 15 July 2022.
According to the Hosting Request Processing System, the Hosting Request Instructions were delivered to national associations on July 17, 2022, and the deadline for submitting nomination documents for competing national associations will be before August 31, 2022.
Then, a comprehensive evaluation of the competing files will be carried out by the administration at the AFC, the host country for the final will be selected and announced by the AFC Executive Office on October 17, 2022.
