SPA – Aden:
The Nutrition Assistance Project for children under five and pregnant and lactating mothers continues with the support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in the governorates of Aden, Lahaj, Taiz, Al Hudaydah, Hadramout, Hajjah, Marib. Provide its medical and nutritional services to 26,887 beneficiaries during the period 18 to 24 November 2021.
5,785 children were screened, 309 children with severe acute malnutrition treated, 559 cases of moderate malnutrition treated, 590 children treated with medical services to prevent malnutrition, 2,816 pregnant and lactating Mothers were screened and 2,816 pregnant and lactating mothers were screened. Medical services to 535 beneficiaries, 2.566 women received IMCI services, 11,672 reviews benefited from awareness activities, and 2,055 women benefitted from counseling centres.
It comes as an extension of the Kingdom’s humanitarian role represented by the Center in supporting the needy and pregnant and lactating mothers suffering from malnutrition in Yemen, realizing their humanitarian responsibility to the Brother Yemeni people and their Stand with them to ease the pain.
