In Baghdad, the Moroccan embassy was reopened after 18 years of closure in a “historic” visit that marked the beginning of a new phase of cooperation, especially in the economic field.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the Moroccan embassy in Baghdad closed its doors in 2005 and moved to Amman due to the “deteriorating security situation” in Iraq.
